Electronic Invoicing for Success: Comply with the Crea y Crece Law
30 November 2023
If your company is established in Spain, it is essential to comply with the requirements established by the Crea y Crece Law.
Are you facing challenges in complying with the new Crea y Crece Law? The changing business environment demands adaptability and efficient tools to meet new regulations. If you're grappling with these challenges, you're in the right place. At ALBIRA Solutions, we understand the complexities of change and offer advanced technological solutions to ensure your success.
What does the Crea y Crece Law entail?
Law 18/2022, known as the Crea y Crece Law, will transform the business landscape, fostering creation and development. How? By mandating the use of electronic invoices between 2024 and 2025, a change that will be a game-changer for the business fabric. This law, designed to address delays in commercial transactions, is what small and medium-sized enterprises need to improve their liquidity and profitability. Additionally, it will not only provide significant cost savings but also minimize errors inherent in manual processes.
What is an electronic invoice?
An electronic invoice has identical legal effects to a printed paper invoice. It serves as a backup for transactions of goods or services conducted in electronic format, ensuring an efficient and legally valid exchange.
FACe: Simplifying the Submission of Electronic Invoices to the Administration
FACe, the General Entry Point for Invoices of the General State Administration, centralizes the submission of electronic invoices to government entities at the state, regional, and local levels. FACe requires the use of the electronic invoice format Facturae to submit invoices. Therefore, billing software capable of generating invoices in Facturae format is required.
Why is it so important to adapt now?
With the Crea y Crece Law implemented in October 2022, a two-year deadline is established for the implementation of electronic invoicing. However, it is essential to start this process as soon as possible to avoid economic sanctions and ensure a smooth transition. The obligation of electronic invoicing will be implemented between 2024 and 2025, depending on the billing volume of each company:
-
For companies with an annual turnover exceeding 8 million euros, the implementation deadline is 1 year once the technical regulations are approved.
-
For other companies with a turnover of less than 8 million euros, the implementation deadline is extended to 2 years from the approval of the technical regulations.
